European Scientists were invited as Visiting Fellows by BAAS

On September 23rd, Mr. Seppo from Finnish Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Trond and Dr. Alf, chief experts on oats breeding in Norway and Sweden respectively (both of them are members of the Oats International Committee), and Dr. Elina from Finnish Agricultural Research Institute who is an well-known expert on double Diploid of Oats are invited as Honorary Professors of Baicheng Academy of Agricultural Science in Jilin. At the same time, scholars from Northwest A&F University Pro. Hu Yingang and Dr. Hu Xinzhong are invited as Distinguished Fellows of this institute.

This activity strengthens the cooperation between Europe and China in oats, and is also a promoter of the wide range cooperation between Baicheng Academy of Agricultural Science and the Northwest A&F University in the drought resistance gene isolation and location of oats, and the industrialization of oat food.
